Three Months at a Glance
A 3-month calendar gives you more detail than a yearly one, and a longer view than a monthly one. You can see the month you are in and the two coming next, all on the same sheet.
It is a favourite with people who plan by quarter: small business owners, accountants, project managers and students.
The Four Quarters of 2026
| Quarter | Months | Holidays on the page |
|---|---|---|
| Q1 | January, February, March | New Year’s Day (Jan 1) |
| Q2 | April, May, June | Good Friday (Apr 3), Victoria Day (May 18) |
| Q3 | July, August, September | Canada Day (July 1), Labour Day (Sept 7), National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Sept 30) |
| Q4 | October, November, December | Thanksgiving (Oct 12), Remembrance Day (Nov 11), Christmas Day (Dec 25), Boxing Day (Dec 26) |
Q1 is long and quiet, with only one national holiday. Many provinces add Family Day on February 16, so write it in if it applies to you.
How Canadians Use a Quarterly Calendar
- Business: track quarterly sales, reports and tax filing dates on one sheet.
- Seasons: Q1 is winter, Q3 is summer. Plan ski trips, cottage weekends or camping by quarter.
- School: a term lasts about three months, so one page covers most of it.
- Goals: write three goals at the top of the page. At the end of the quarter, check how you did.
Tips for Your 3-Month Page
- Mark deadlines in red and days off in green.
- Draw a line through each day as it passes. It is a simple way to see how much time is left.
- Keep the next quarter’s page behind the current one, so you can add dates early.
