A Canadian Calendar, Made for Canada
A calendar from another country can be confusing here. Thanksgiving is in October, not November. Victoria Day is a long weekend most Americans have never heard of. And holidays change from one province to another.
That is why we made a 2026 calendar Canada version. The online calendar above shows the holidays in color. Click a colored day and you go straight to the holiday table.
The yearly templates come in four styles:
- 2026 calendar Canada with holidays: the 12 months on one page, with the main holidays marked.
- 2026 calendar with week numbers: handy for work and school planning.
- 2026 one-page calendar: a clean layout to hang on the wall.
- Blank 2026 calendar: no holidays, so you can add your own, like your provincial days off.

Statutory Holidays in Canada in 2026
Canada does not have one single list of holidays for everyone. Some days are holidays in every province, like New Year’s Day, Canada Day, Labour Day and Christmas Day. Others depend on where you live and where you work.
Our templates show the holidays that apply in most of the country. Here are a few things to keep in mind for 2026:
- Canada Day (July 1) is on a Wednesday, so there is no long weekend this time.
- Boxing Day falls on a Saturday. In most provinces it is observed on Monday, December 28, so many people get four days off from December 25 to 28.
- The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (September 30) is a Wednesday. It is a holiday for federal workers and in some provinces, but not in all of them.
Provincial Holidays to Add Yourself
Some important days are not printed on the templates, because they only apply in certain provinces:
- Monday, February 16, 2026: Family Day in Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Ontario and Saskatchewan. The same day is Louis Riel Day in Manitoba, Islander Day in Prince Edward Island and Heritage Day in Nova Scotia.
- Wednesday, June 24, 2026: Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day (Fête nationale) in Quebec.
- Monday, August 3, 2026: a holiday in many provinces under different names, such as BC Day, Saskatchewan Day or New Brunswick Day. In Ontario it is called the Civic Holiday, but it is not a statutory holiday.
The blank template is perfect if you want to write in only the days that apply to you.
Long Weekends in 2026
- April 3–5: Good Friday weekend (some people also get Easter Monday, April 6)
- May 16–18: Victoria Day
- August 1–3: Civic Holiday, BC Day and similar holidays
- September 5–7: Labour Day
- October 10–12: Thanksgiving
- December 25–28: Christmas and Boxing Day (observed)
Clocks go forward on Sunday, March 8 and back on Sunday, November 1, except in places that do not change the time, like most of Saskatchewan.
How to Print
Click PDF under the template you like. In the print window, choose Letter (8.5 × 11 in) and 100% scale. Our templates use the red and white of the Canadian flag. They look best in color, but the light design keeps ink use low.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the 2026 Canada calendars free?
Yes. All templates are free to download and print for home, school and office use.
Which holidays are on the templates?
The templates show New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Labour Day, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
What is the difference between a federal and a provincial holiday?
Federal holidays apply to workers in federally regulated jobs, like banks, airlines and telecom companies. Everyone else follows the holiday rules of their province.

Can I use the calendar for school?
Yes. School breaks change from one school board to another, so write your own school dates on the calendar.
