A Calendar Made for Australia
Public holidays in Australia depend on where you live. Some are national, like Australia Day and Anzac Day. Others, like Labour Day or the King’s Birthday, fall on different dates in different states.
Our 2026 calendar Australia shows the national public holidays and the three King’s Birthday dates, with the states in brackets. The online calendar marks them in colour. Click a coloured day to jump to the table.
You can print the year in four styles:
- 2026 calendar with Australian public holidays: the 12 months on one A4 page.
- 2026 calendar with week numbers: useful for rosters and work planning.
- 2026 one-page calendar: clean and easy to read from across the room.
- Blank 2026 calendar: no holidays, so you can add your own state’s dates.

Key Dates in 2026
2026 starts on a Thursday. It has 365 days.
- Australia Day (26 January) is on a Monday, so it makes a long weekend everywhere.
- Easter runs from Good Friday, 3 April, to Easter Monday, 6 April.
- Anzac Day (25 April) falls on a Saturday.
- King’s Birthday is on Monday 8 June in most states, Monday 28 September in WA and Monday 5 October in Queensland.
- Boxing Day is on a Saturday. In most states, Monday 28 December is an extra public holiday.
State Holidays to Add Yourself
These days are not on the templates, because they only apply in some states or territories:
- Victoria: Labour Day, Monday 9 March; Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday 3 November (metro Melbourne).
- New South Wales: Labour Day, Monday 5 October.
- Queensland: Labour Day, Monday 4 May.
- Western Australia: Labour Day, Monday 2 March; WA Day, Monday 1 June.
- South Australia: Adelaide Cup Day, Monday 9 March; Labour Day, Monday 5 October.
- ACT: Canberra Day, Monday 9 March; Reconciliation Day, Monday 1 June.
- Tasmania: Eight Hours Day, Monday 9 March.
- Northern Territory: May Day, Monday 4 May; Picnic Day, Monday 3 August.
Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday are also public holidays in several states. Always check your state government’s website for the final list.
Use It as a Yearly Planner
Many people print the one-page version as a simple yearly planner. Pin it on the wall, then mark school terms, holidays, birthdays and work deadlines. Thicker paper (160 gsm or more) will keep it flat all year.
Daylight saving ends on Sunday 5 April and starts again on Sunday 4 October in NSW, Victoria, the ACT, Tasmania and South Australia. Queensland, WA and the NT do not change their clocks.
How to Print
Click PDF under the template you want. Choose A4, set the scale to 100%, and print. The navy, red and white design looks best in colour but uses little ink.
